1972 Dodge Dart Custom - First Photos

I recently purchased a 1972 Dodge Dart Custom. I am in the process of fixing it up. It is a daily driver.

The car is a 318 5.2L V8, Automatic, No Air, Drum Brakes, 68K miles when bought.

It is is pretty good shape considering the year.

Loriann,

I paid $1800 for mine on Ebay. I was prepared to go higher, but I got lucky.

What condition is your vehicle in? How many miles? Any major mechanical or condition problems?

Those all affect value. I recently saw another 72 Dodge Dart with slant 6, great interior, 80K miles, needing paint (in primer), needing tires, for $1200 on Ebay.

Hope that helps.

Hi Matt,

I just bought a '72 with the exact specs, VIN starts with LHT41G2R (R=Windsor, Ontario plant) off eBay - Florida car. Exterior is beige, and has A/C, otherwise identical. Nifty site: I found a build order decoder (on a fender tag plate) at this link: http://www.stockmopar.com/mopar-fender-tag-decoder.php
