I'm 80 years old now but I still have found memories of Camp Bill Stark. I served as a counselor one summer for the Boy Scouts of America Summer Camp. I taught scouts swimming and canoeing. It was one of the best experiences with all the scouts and scoutmasters. I was tapped out and took did my Ordeal and Brotherhood honors at Camp Bill Stark. All who camped at Camp Bill Stark, which I did many times with Troop 67 of Port Arthur, Texas, knows the great times at the camp. We all learned many of our camping and scouting skills at this super camp. My first summer camp, I remember my first morning I had KP at the mess hall. I was green as they came but I STILL remember that morning. I could go on and on but I think you can see my love for this camp. I'm just so sorry that it's no more. There is many of boy scout that will have missed a great experience.
